I flew in from out of state for surgery. I had no one with me.

I traveled to Los Angeles alone for a procedure. I'd planned everything - the clinic, the hotel, the time off work. What I hadn't fully solved was what happened the moment I walked out of surgery, still groggy, with nobody to lean on.
The clinic was clear: no rideshare after anesthesia. I needed actual medical transport, and I needed it to feel safe doing this completely on my own.

I was still out of it from the anesthesia and traveling without anyone. I didn't know what to expect, and that scared me more than the surgery did.

The journey

Walked out, walked in, walked to my door

Two attendants met me as I came out of the clinic. They didn't assume what I needed - they asked if I wanted to sit in a seat, use a wheelchair in the van, or lie on a gurney. I chose the seat. They made sure I was settled before we even moved.
My hotel was only a few blocks away. When we got there, they walked me from the van to the elevator, rode up with me, and walked me all the way to my room door. They waited until I was safely inside before they left.

I made it through alone, and I never felt alone in it

I would absolutely hire this company again. Traveling for surgery by yourself is hard enough without worrying about how you'll get home.
